Abstract

This study aims to describe the utilization of the library and its role in improving students’ learning outcomes at SDN 48 Palembang. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects include the principal, teachers, library staff, and students. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using an interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity is ensured through triangulation.

The results of the study indicate that the utilization of the library has been implemented, but it has not yet reached an optimal level. The library has been used as a learning resource; however, it has not been fully integrated into classroom learning activities. The challenges encountered include limited collections, the absence of a structured literacy program, and limited human resources. Therefore, efforts to optimize library management are necessary in order to more effectively support the improvement of students’ learning outcomes.
