ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MINAT BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS V SDN 85 PALEMBANG

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing students’ learning interest in mathematics among fifth-grade students at SDN 85 Palembang. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design to obtain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving students and teachers as research subjects. The findings reveal that students’ learning interest is at a low to moderate level. The influencing factors include internal factors such as motivation, self-confidence, and students’ perceptions of mathematics, as well as external factors including the teacher’s role, teaching methods and media, and family support. These results indicate that learning interest is shaped by the interaction of multiple factors. Therefore, innovative teaching strategies and collaboration between teachers and parents are essential to enhance students’ learning interest effectively.
