PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK TERHADAP KREATIFITAS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning methods on the creativity of elementary school students. The background of this research is based on the low level of student creativity in conventional learning, which tends to limit students' opportunities to think critically and innovatively. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test experimental design. The subjects of this study were 23 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques included creativity tests and observations to examine students’ behavioral changes during the learning process. The results showed a significant increase in students' creativity after the implementation of project-based learning, with the average pre-test score of 58.7 improving to 76.3 in the post-test. In addition, students became more active, creative, and collaborative in completing project-based tasks. Therefore, it can be concluded that project-based learning has a positive effect on students' creativity and can be used as an effective alternative teaching strategy in elementary schools..
