The low environmental awareness of elementary school students is a challenge that needs to be addressed through contextual, active, and meaningful learning. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) combined with green consumerism-based learning enables students not only to understand environmental concepts but also to develop wiser and more environmentally friendly consumption habits from an early age. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the green consumerism-based PjBL model in fostering environmental awareness among third-grade students at SD N 12 Tanjung Raja. The study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 20 third-grade students. Data collection was carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively by comparing conditions before and after the treatment. The results showed that there was an increase in students' environmental awareness after the treatment. From an average pretest score of 60.2 which increased to 82.6 in the posttest, with an average increase of 22.4 points. This indicates that the effectiveness of green consumerism-based PjBL is able to foster student participation in learning activities, concern for environmental cleanliness, the habit of sorting waste, and an attitude of thrift in using materials and goods around them. Project-based learning provides students with hands-on experiences connecting subject matter to everyday life. Therefore, the green consumerism-based PjBL model is effective in fostering environmental awareness in elementary school students.
