Penerapan Permainan Tradisional Gobak Sodor dan Lari Balok terhadap Keterampilan Gerak Dasar Siswa Sekolah Dasar

This study aims to describe the implementation of traditional games in developing the fundamental movement skills of elementary school students. Fundamental movement skills are important abilities that support children's physical development and serve as the foundation for performing various physical activities. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, documentation, and field notes during Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning activities. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 122 Palembang with 35 second-grade students as the research participants. The traditional games implemented were Gobak Sodor and Lari Balok. The results showed that the implementation of these traditional games was able to improve students’ fundamental movement skills, particularly locomotor and non-locomotor skills. In addition, students demonstrated enthusiasm, active participation, and good cooperation throughout the learning process. Therefore, traditional games can be used as an effective and enjoyable learning alternative in developing the fundamental movement skills of elementary school student
